Bottle Details

This is a cask of 1997 vintage Caroni rum, aged for 12 years in Trinidad and a further 14 years in the UK. It was disgorged on 27th February 2025 and placed into an inert steel drum.

Buyer must make arrangements to have this cask moved to their bonded warehouse of choice within 4 weeks of completion of sale. Any transport and insurance costs will be covered by the buyer.

A historic rum distillery that was once owned by British sugar merchant, Tate & Lyle, before being nationalised by the Trinidadian government in the 1970s. It eventually closed in 2003 and the last of the distillery's stock and its brand name were acquired by Italian distributor, Velier.

What time do auctions end?

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes.

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
