A large distillery in Retalhuleu, Gautemala, often also referred to as DARSA. It is owned and operated by Licores de Guatemala and produces a range of rum brands that include Botran and Ron Zacapa.
Botran
A brand of rum produced at the Destiladora de Alcoholes y Rones (DARSA) in Guatemala. It was first introduced in 1940 by Licorera Quezalteca, a distillery founded the previous year by the Botran family. The label is today owned by Licores de Guatemala.
Licores de Guatemala
A company based in Mixco Guatemala that was formed by the merger of a number of prominent rum distillers. It owns the Destiladora de Alcoholes y Rones (DARSA) facility and produces a number of brands, most notably Botran and Ron Zacapa.
