Dillon

The Distillerie Dillon is located in Fort-de-France in Martinique and is located on an estate founded in 1779 by the Irish Jacobite soldier, Arthur Dillon. Distilling took place on the site from as early as 1869, however the distillery as it is recognised today was built in 1928. It is currently owned by the French multinational, COFEPP, through its Bardinet subsidiary, however as of 2005 has solely been an ageing facility.
In addition to producing the Dillon brand, Bardinet also produced its Negrita and Old Nick label there.
Dillon is an AOC-certified Martinique rhum agricole brand. It is produced and marketed by Bardinet SA, who acquired it and its distillery in 1967. Although the distillery was closed in 2005, its original creole column still was moved to Depaz where it continues to produce the specific mark required for the brand. The rum is still aged at the original distillery.
The Dillon core range offer rhum blanc in a variety of strengths, as well as a number of rhum vieux such as its VSOP and Hors d'Age XO. These are supported by occasional cask strength and vintage limited editions.
