Ronera Cárdenas

Ronera Cárdenas is one of several rum distilleries that comprise the production portfolio of the state-owned Corporación Cuba Ron SA (Cubaron). It was originally opened in 1878 under the name La Vizcaya by a Spaniard called Don José Arechabala Aldama. His company, Arechabala Industries, created and produced the famous Havana Club brand there.

The distillery was renamed José Antonio Echeverría in 1959, before adopting its current title after being upgraded under the ownership of Cubaron in 1993. Today it produces spirit for the company's Ron Perla del Norte and Legendario brands.
