An unfortunate labelling error, this bottling was produced by the Milestone bar in Tokyo to celebrate its 16th anniversary. Originally believed to be a rare 2002 vintage Caroni, it was later discovered to be a blended rum produced by Trinidad Distillers Ltd.
The rum is expected to contain some Caroni, however this will also have been blended with stock from Jamaica.
A historic rum distillery that was once owned by British sugar merchant, Tate & Lyle, before being nationalised by the Trinidadian government in the 1970s. It eventually closed in 2003 and the last of the distillery's stock and its brand name were acquired by Italian distributor, Velier.
