A modern rum production facility opened in 2007 by Corporación Cuba Ron SA. The distillery is one of two in the company's portfolio that is designated to the production of its historic Havana Club label.
One of the best-selling Caribbean rum brands in the world, introduced in Cuba in 1934 by José Arechabala SA. Today the brand is owned by Havana Club International SA, a partnership between Pernod Ricard and Corporación Cuba Ron who produce it at their San José and Santa Cruz distilleries.
A company established in 1993 as a 50:50 venture between the French multinational, Pernod Ricard, and the Cuban government's Corporación Cuba Ron SA. For their share, the latter is responsible for producing and bottling rum for the Havana Club brand, while the former deals with its distribution.
A collection of special edition Havana Club rums, each of which was produced in collaboration with bartenders from around the world. Released in 2018 and 2019, they are all single distillery rums and limited to around 12,000 bottles each.
