This is the original version of the Blue Bay white rum from Medine distillery in Mauritius. It was marketed in the early 2000s, prior to the renaming of the brand as Blue Bay B.
A lesser-known distillery in Mauritius and operated by the agriculture arm of the wider Medine Group. It was established in 1926, originally producing camphor alcohol, iodine, vinegar and distilled water. Today it makes rum, alcohol and vinegar for the local and export markets.
A brand of rum produced at the Medine distillery in Mauritius. The label was first introduced in the early 2000s as Blue Bay before being rebranded in 2005. As of 2019, the trademark and exclusive distribution rights have been owned by its German importer, AWS Energie- und Handels.
A company established in 1996 as a co-venture between Réunion-based J. Chatel and the WEAL group, which at the time owned the Medine distillery in Mauritius. In addition to producing Chatel brands, it also bottled a number of its own export labels that included Blue Bay.
