Caroni 1996 Full Proof Heavy - Vijay 'Vijay' Ranmarine
This 1996 vintage Caroni is from the 3rd Release in the Caroni Employees series from Velier. It is an example of the distillery's HTR (heavy type) rum and was produced on the Indian-made mash column still. Despite erroneous copy on the back label, the front label information is correct in that the rum was fully matured in Trinidad before it was bottled for Velier in France in 2019.
The label features the image of Vijay "Vijay" Ramnarine (misspelled as "Ranmarine") who worked as a distillation supervisor at Caroni for 23 years.
