Long Pond TECA 2003 Continental Flavoured 15 Year Old
This is part of the National Rums of Jamaica collaboration with European distributors, La Maison & Velier. A Continental Flavoured style rum, it is one of four classifications used in Jamaica, identifying rums with 700/1600 gr/hlpa. The TECA mark specifically refers to rums with 1200/1300 gr/hlpa.
Long Pond
A historic Jamaican rum distillery, founded in the Trelawny parish in 1753. It has long associations to the Captain Morgan brand which was produced there by Seagram in the second half of the 20th century, but is today owned by the National Rums of Jamaica partnership.
National Rums of Jamaica
An organisation established in 1980 as a holding company for the Jamaican government's rum distilleries. Today these are Long Pond and Clarendon, and in 2006 a one-third stake was sold to each of Demerara Distillers Ltd and Maison Ferrand's West Indies Rum Distillery Ltd.
