La Favorite

La Favorite is a historic rum distillery on Martinique, originally established as La Jambette in 1842. It took on the name La Favorite in 1851 under the ownership of Charles Henry. Today the distillery is the property of the Dormoy family through its Distillerie La Favorite SARL company. They have owned it for three generations since its acquisition by Henri Dormoy in 1905.

The distillery produced Martinique's AOC accredited rhum agricole, distilling the juice of its own hand-harvested, estate-grown sugarcane on a pair of Creole column stills. Its rum is primarly bottled under the La Favorite brand name, however it also produces other labels such as Rhum Survi.
