A clairin-producing distillery in Haiti that is owned and run by the Vaval family. While the majority of its output is sold in the local market, it is also one of the five producers in The Spirit of Haiti portfolio where it is represented by the Clairin Vaval brand.
A brand of Haitian cane spirit known as clairin. It is distilled at the Arawaks distillery and the spirit is bottled and branded for export markets by La Maison & Velier. The majority is bottled unaged, as is traditional, however some releases of aged Vieux Vaval have also been released.
A Haiti company founded as a co-venture between Italian importer and distributor, Velier, and local rum company, Berling S.A. The latter is the majority shareholder of the operation which manages the acquisition, bottling and occasional ageing of clairin for the export brands of the former.
