Caroni 1996 Full Proof 23 Year Old Heavy - David 'Sarge' Charran
This is from the second release from the Caroni Employees series by Velier and features David "Sarge" Charran on the label, who worked at the distillery for 28 years. It is a vatting of four casks of HTR style from the Indian-made mash column still.
Caroni
A historic rum distillery that was once owned by British sugar merchant, Tate & Lyle, before being nationalised by the Trinidadian government in the 1970s. It eventually closed in 2003 and the last of the distillery's stock and its brand name were acquired by Italian distributor, Velier.

An Italian importer and distributor founded in Genoa in 1947. Under the ownership of Luca Gargano since 1986, it has become one of the most important companies in the world rum. It represents a huge array of brands in Europe as well as marketing a number of its own.
Caroni Employees
A collection of Caroni bottlings from Velier, released in six batches between 2018 and 2021. Each bottling in the collection features the image of one of the distillery's former members of staff, culminating with a group shot on the final release called Employees United.
