Simon

Rhumerie du Simon is a large distillery in Martinique that produces the island's AOC accredited rhum agricole. It is located within the former Usine du Simon sugar factory, built by Emile Bougenot in 1847. The rum distillery was installed in 1862 and has become the site's sole production. Having been cquired by Yves Hayot in 1967, Simon is today a part of his family's Holmex SAS holding company.
As a contract distiller, Simon does not directly market any of its own brands. It does supply the rum to fellow Holmex subsidiary, HSE SAS, however. It also provides spirit for a number of other third party brands, the most notable being Clément which it made between 1986 and 2022.
