The current production home of the historic Saint-James brand of Martinique rum. It was opened in 1973 under the ownership of Cointreau & Cie SA. Today the distillery is owned by La Martinquaise and also produces rum for the J. Bally brand.
A historic brand of Martinique rum, first distilled and bottled at the Habitation Lajus in Carbet. It was founded by Jacques Bally who designed its iconic pyramide and carré bottles in the 1930s. It is today owned by COFEPP through its La Martinqaise division and distilled at Saint James.
A company established in 1974 as a subsidiary of Cointreau & Cie which was tasked with managing the production and marketing of the Saint James brand of Martinique rhum agricole. As of 2003 it has been part of the La Martinquaise group and also owns the J. Bally label.
