All Distilleries

A short-lived rum distillery constructed within the former Usine Ste Madeleine sugar factory in Trinidad. A partnership between LVMH and Angostura Ltd, the former provided the distilling equipment which was used to produce pot-distlled cane juice rum between 2003 and 2013.

A small distillery located within the Habitation Simon, an estate towards the east of Martinique. The name is derived from both the initial of the estate’s founder, Jean Assier, and the year in which he did so, 1710.

A distillery in Hungary, founded in 2001 in the country's Lake Velence region. The area is abundant with fruit-growing and the distillery primarily uses these as the base for its pálinka. It has also released some rum which it redistilled from casks acquired in South America.

A distillery formerly located on what is now the amalgamated Albion/Port Mourant sugar estate of the Guyana Sugar Corporation. Despite ceasing rum production in 1968, the Albion rum marque is still produced by Demerara Distillers Ltd at the Diamond distillery.

A large rum distillery in the Dominican Republic, opened in 2010 by Ron Barceló SRL in order to produce its flagship Barceló brand. Unusually for the region, the distillery exclusively produces rum using 100% freshly squeezed cane juice.

A historic rum brand and distillery from the Canary Islands. The brand was introduced in 1936 on the island of Gran Canaria, however today is produced at Destilerías Aldea on La Palma. The operation is noted for producing rum using fresh cane juice rather than molasses.

An Indian distillery that is best-known for its single malt production. Opened in 1987, it is part of the Amrut Distilleries arm of the N.R. Jagdale Group and produces rum for both the domestic and export markets alongside a number of other spirits.

The Antigua distillery in the only remaining rum producer in Antigua and Barbuda. It was built is 1932 and is unique in the Caribbean for its use of an all-copper hybrid still, created in 1991 by fusing a column from its original Savalle setup as the rectifier on a new John Dore three-column still.

The distillery's flagship brand is English Harbour, and it also continues to market its first ever in-house label, Cavalier.

A distillery located in Mallorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands. It was founded by Antonio Nadal Muntaner in 1898 and is best known for producing Túnel, a Mediterranean herbal liqueur made from rosemary, chamomile, mint, fennel and marjoram.

The oldest distillery in Jamaica and producer of the acclaimed Appleton Estate brand. It is located in the Saint Elizabeth parish and it has been in operation since 1749. Today the distillery is part of the Campari Group who acquired its parent company, J. Wray & Nephew, in 2012.

A clairin-producing distillery in Haiti that is owned and run by the Vaval family. While the majority of its output is sold in the local market, it is also one of the five producers in The Spirit of Haiti portfolio where it is represented by the Clairin Vaval brand.

A distillery located in the town of Aruca on Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It was originally established in 1884 as La Fábrica de San Pedro before being renamed after its flagship rum brand in 1965. It also produces the Captain Kidd label alongside a range of different gin and liqueurs.

Known affectionately as the "Cathedral of Rum," this is the world's largest rum-producing distillery and accounts for the majority of production of the Bacardi brand. The distillery is located in the Cataño suburb of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

A lesser-known Bacardi distillery that was home of the company's Canadian operations. It was built in 1969 in Brampton, Ontario and was used by the company until its closure in 2017.

The Mexican home of the Bacardi brand. The distillery was opened in 1956 and is now the only other rum distillery in the Bacardi Limited portfolio outside of Puerto Rico.

A former Bacardi distillery opened in Spain in 1959 following the exile of the family from Cuba. The distillery served an important role in the growth of Bacardi as an international brand, however was forced to close in 1998 due to molasses supply issues.

A former Bacardi Limited distillery located in the Bahamas. It was operational from 1966 until 2009 when it was closed down in order to consolidate the company's operations at its larger Puerto Rico plant.

A former Bacardi distillery that was opened in Brazil in 1961 as the first subsidiary company to the then Bahamas-based Bacardi International. Although now closed, the site was the originator of the famous 151 proof rum produced for the US market.

A small rum distillery located in in Freeport, Grand Bahama. Established in 2021, it produces a range of rums on a pair of French copper pot stills, built in the 1950s and discovered disused in Cape Town, South Africa. The distillery's brands include Bassett's, Iguana and Marlin.

An American whiskey distillery founded by Chip Tate and named after the geological fault zone that runs from the nearby town of Waco, Texas. The current distillery building opened in 2016 and also produces pot-distilled rum as part of its portfolio.

A Haitian distillery that was founded by Dupré Barbancourt in 1862 and has been in its current location since 1949. It produces a range of cane juice rums which are marketed using its eponymous Barbancourt brand. 

A rum distillery and brand, founded in 2013 by Louisiana Spirits. Based in Lacassine in southern Louisiana, the distillery uses locally-sourced sugarcane varieties to produce pot-distilled molasses rums, ageing them in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. It also produces a rum liqueur called Gator Bite.

A historic rum producer located in Queensland and the oldest registered distillery in Australia. Acquired by Vok Beverages in 2012, it produces its flagship Beenleigh brand alongside the company's other label, Inner Circle.

A distillery located at the heart of the largest sugarcane plantation on Marie-Galante, a neighbouring island of the Guadeloupe archipelago. The distillery currently bottles white rums under its Domaine de Bellevue brand, and aged rums using the Habitation Bellevue label.

A large distillery on the Grande-Terre island of the Guadeloupe archipelago, also often known as Damoiseau after its flagship rum brand. The distillery operates three column stills and produces both agricole rum as well as molasses-derived spirit during the months outside of cane-cutting season. 

One of three distilleries on the island of Marie-Galante in the Guadeloupe archipelago. It was founded at the end of the 19th century as rum production began to take over following the decline in profitability of sugar and the Bielle brand has been marketed since 1910.

An English distillery located in north-west London. The primary production is single malt whisky, however it also markets its own single blended rum and other spirits using the Bimber brand name.

A distillery established in 2017 by Jonathan McLean. Located in the northern reaches of New Zealand's north island, the distillery produces pot-distilled rum alongside a range of spiced rum, liqueurs and other spirits.

A small husband-and-wife distillery located in New South Wales, Australia. Established in 2009, it produces both single malt whisky and rum, the latter of which is managed by Genise Hollingworth on its direct-fired copper pot stills.
